If your car is stuck in the snow and all attempts to get out fail, you need no more equipment than a couple of pieces of cable or rope and you can be on your way sooner than you can say: "That's a miracle!"
This is how:

You will need two pieces of cable or rope about 18 inches long (a piece a washing line is excellent).
Take one of the ropes and pass it through one of the apatures in one of your driving wheels, around the tyre and tie the ends with a good secure knot. Then do exactly the same with the other piece of rope to the other driving wheel on the other side of the car.
Gently engage your clutch and carefully drive home.

Note: For even better grip, if you wish you wish you can tie several pieces of rope around your wheels.
