In 1935 a small book was published by The House of Davenport. It was offered to the company's shareholders and customers to commemorate fifty years of brewing and supplying fine beers. Many years later one of the surviving copies was found, in a poor condition, on a Midlands rubbish dump. In order to keep this valuable information, the book has been converted to a website. A short history of the company is also included.
The surviving copy was presented to a Mrs A Jordan of Pattingham, Wolverhampton. Nothing more of her is known at this time.

Although able to look back over fifty years of successful endeavour, it is not our present purpose to tell the story of those eventful years. We prefer to give our readers a brief outline of those factors which experience has taught us are essential to success in a business such as ours, and then to conduct them through each department of our organisation so that themselves can be the judges of the success of our efforts to attain the standards we have set up.
There is an ancient Chinese proverb which says "One picture is worth a thousand words." With this we are in entire agreement, hence we have brought together a series of photographs, which, with short accompanying descriptions, tell their own story. As it would perhaps be a presumption on our part to ask for an unqualified acceptance of the remarkable story they tell, we feel we cannot do better than extend to our readers a cordial invitation to visit us at Bath row, and make a personal inspection of our Brewery and Bottlery.
