1. Start (If XP) / Control Panel / Internet Options. Choose the Privacy tab.
* You will see that Microsoft have defaulted the settings to Medium. This is a little low for safety.
2. With your mouse, move the slider up one degree to Medium High.
*This setting is much safer.
If you want to be really safe, you can move the slider all the way to the top and set it to accept no cookies. You will be surprised at how little difference this makes, as many cookies are of no use to you - only to those sending them.
By the way... Make sure the "Block pop-ups" is ticked.
